"Static Cinema", is an international exhibition exploring how photographic images can function as cinematic experiences. The exhibit explores the ways photography absorbs, references, and transforms cinematic language.
My photo, "Tossed" (2024), from the collection RINGSIDE, was selected for inclusion in “Static Cinema”. "Artists whose work engages with cinematic narrative and aesthetics, visual storytelling, memory, atmosphere, mise-en-scène, or the emotional and psychological qualities traditionally associated with film are featured in the exhibit.
“Static Cinema” brings together a selection of established and emerging artists' work across documentary photography and portraiture to staged photography, conceptual practices, and the cinematic image.
The exhibit takes place during Venice International Film Festival and the Venice Biennale.
