I'm in Pro Wrestling Illustrated and it's FAN-TASTIC
“FAN-TASTIC PHOTOS”, Pro Wrestling Illustrated, Fall 2026, Candace Cordelia
GAH!!!! What a thrill to discover there's a 2-page interview about my photography exhibit RINGSIDE and my wrestling fandom in the Pro Wrestling Illustrated Fall 2026 issue!
It started with a tweet from the account Wrestling Magazine --- a photo of me at my exhibit on opening day after my interview with Candace Cordelia. I was so excited thinking it was one of those FOB blurbs but oh no it was so much more!
I was going to wait until September to get the print copy of the magazine but I saw myself in the table of contents so I purchased a digital copy... Cue more squeals and jumping around my living room...
The entire situation is so much more than I expected when I got a reply from Cordelia to my press release for an interview. Not only is she a writer and wrestling fan but also a self-described visual art enthusiast. Huge thank you to her for the platform. I loved meeting her and sharing enthusiastically about photography and wrestling. Photographer & videographer, RJ Adams, was awesome too (ya'll know I'm a photographer who likes to be photographed!).
I remember hunting down copies of Pro Wrestling Illustrated in the 90's to now being featured in its pages with “Fan-tastic Photos”.. I've never been shy about being a wrestling fan and now even more people know it.
Grateful.
There are so many synchronicities that jumped out at me too, pictured in the Table of Contents next to an old-timey B&W photo of Nick Bockwinkel, the aesthetic of my exhibit. I'm pictured at my RINGSIDE exhibit standing in front of a photos of Bayley, Bayley whose Lodestone Wrestling is a cover story in the PWI Fall 2026 issue. Kendal Grey, featured on one of the covers, is a wrestler I mentioned in my interview. I could go on. This whole experience is a confirmation in work still being something you love and it also leading to professional milestones and progressions.
